Summary
This position is responsible for creating purchase orders in Syspro, acquiring proper signature(s) and forwarding to designated vendors, as well as following up until items are received. This position is also responsible for updating manufacturing schedule according to material availability and customer order requirements. Work with Warehouse Supervisor on inventory control and cycle counts.

Responsibilities and Duties
Acquire proper signatures on all POs before attaching them in Syspro and transmitting them to vendors. Obtain quotes as necessary and create POs to maintain established stocking levels and meet customer order requirements. Regularly review inventory report and generate POs or Blanket releases as necessary. Monitor outstanding POs and contact suppliers as necessary to confirm material due dates. Update Syspro as dock dates change. Update manufacturing schedule dates as PO details become available. Participate in weekly production meetings to provide material updates relevant to order review. Work with Warehouse Supervisor on Inventory control via cycle counts. Maintain excellent communication with each department and operations team regarding all aspects of their duties. Assist Director, Manufacturing on specific projects as assigned.

Experience
2 years experience in materials or planning function within a manufacturing environment. Experience or working knowledge of enterprise accounting software, Syspro experience preferred. Skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook).

Education
High School Graduate or GED

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma required. Associates Degree highly preferred. Knowledge of accounting principles beneficial.
