BACKGROUND
Suniva, Inc. was founded in August, 2007 with ties to the University Center of Excellence for Photovoltaics at Georgia Tech and recently ranked #2 Top 10 venture-backed Cleantech Companies by The Wall Street Journal. Suniva?s mission is to continue to increase the efficiencies of monocrystalline silicon solar. Based in metro-Atlanta, GA, Suniva manufactures high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells and high-power solar modules using patented low-cost techniques. The manufacturing operation is a 24x7 facility.
We are seeking an experienced manufacturing Shift Supervisor for our 3pm ? 3am shift.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support operations of a 24x7 Solar Cell manufacturing facility (12 hour shifts with rotating days of week schedule)
Direct a team of process operators and maintenance technicians to achieve daily manufacturing objectives
Ensure that all safety, quality and other manufacturing and engineering procedures are properly implemented and followed
Achieve quality and output objectives
Support a program of continuous improvement consistent with company business objectives
Work with R&D and Engineering to aggressively implement new technology
Provide training as required to line personnel.
Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in supervisor role with 15 ? 40 direct reports.
Four-year degree in a technical field, (Electrical or Chemical Engineering preferred)
Direct experience in manufacturing engineering
Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments methods desirable
Experience in Photovoltaics or other Semiconductor manufacturing is desirable
Experience with an Engineering Change program consistent with ISO-9001 or equivalent is desirable
Experience with implementing or sustaining lean manufacturing practices is desirable.
