THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Merrimack Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company discovering, developing and preparing to commercialize innovative medicines paired with companion diagnostics for the treatment of serious diseases, with an initial focus on cancer. Merrimack applies Network Biology, its proprietary systems biology-based approach to biomedical research, throughout the research and development process. Merrimack currently has six targeted therapeutic oncology candidates in clinical development.
This position will develop, implement, and support company policies and procedures related to on the job training for GMP operations. This will include the development of a hands-on training program for new and existing Merrimack manufacturing employees. This position will assure the scheduling of regular manufacturing training and assist QA Trainer create and implement a robust GMP training program including hands-on training, class room as well as presentations.
Create on-the-job (OJT) training program for all GMP processes
Create and revise OJT curriculum
Create hands-on training procedures for operators
Train manufacturing personnel
Ensure all manufacturing personnel stays up-to-date on all GXP training requirements
Coordinate training of personnel with manufacturing schedules
Interface with process sciences group to learn new manufacturing processes
Assist with technology transfer and training of manufacturing personnel on new processes
Identify gaps in procedures and help identify solutions to address them
Scheduling and assistance with content and presentation of Quality Systems related training
Training Plans and Curricula: Partners with QA Trainer to provide support related to the training program and to identify and maintain training needs, assignments and requirements.
Take a leadership role to drive training program improvements.
Creation and tracking of training metrics/reports, providing support for quality systems such as deviations, change control and CAPA.
The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor?s degree in Education or life sciences and 3 + years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working closely with manufacturing processes. Experience in supporting GxP training is a plus. This individual must be able to work well with others, but also work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills are needed to be successful in this role. Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
