Quantcast?s core backend software engineers work on a massive data infrastructure to build advanced distributed computing systems, making extensive use of map-reduce, a custom peta-scale compute stack (e.g. QFS), and many leading industry technologies such as Hadoop.They produce top quality code in a production environment to engineer the key data flows that ingest, organize, transform, and curate our petabyte-sized data sets and that ultimately power Quantcast's flagship Measure and Advertise products. As such, these engineers work alongside our Modeling teams to enable statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms to function efficiently at scale.
The ideal candidates are fascinated by complex, large-scale problems and are preoccupied with scalability.
There are only a few companies in our space that work with truly big data. We do this with a small team, offering new hires direct access to our data and the opportunity to have immediate impact on our core business.
