The Analyst is responsible for
Market segmentation analysis
Modeling closed loop sales and marketing targets
Reporting closed loop sales and marketing performance by market and go-to-market plans
Root cause analysis of performance variation from targets
Maintaining the Marketing Performance Scorecard and Market Play dashboard as well as other regular reports
The Market Analyst position reports to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with sales and marketing teams as well as other executives, market leaders and marketing program owners and even with Identity and Access market research firms.

Job Functions
You will own the models and reports Ping Identity relies on to set sale and marketing performance targets and optimize execution.
Specific responsibilities include:
Model and Manage the marketing/sales funnel model, working with corporate communications, product marketing and sales teams to measure, analyze and improve leads-to-opps-to-win conversation rates
Establish, maintain, and enhance a library of standard marketing reports/dashboards for marketing and sales managers. (See Reporting Cadence)
Conduct targeted research in prioritized markets, providing historic data and forecasting.
Works with Product Management to provide insight into competitive landscape.
Analyze sales cycle and customer buying trends to help with marketing programs planning and executing. Includes, but not limited to:
Win/loss analysis
Pipeline analysis
Competitive analysis
Analysis of deal size, sales cycle
Future considerations ? campaign influence, Revenue cycle analysis (via Marketo)
Responsible for all analytics necessary to measure Ping company performance (through data-mining of campaign, web and other metrics) providing recommendations for improvement on program efficiencies and ROI
Data mining and list building out of Ping Identity?s Salesforce and other data bases to support marketing and inside sales efforts
Provide ad hoc analysis and provide insights to the marketing team and other business unit leaders
Participate in overall efforts around database marketing/inside sales team ? helping improve processes, communications and tools.
Collaborate with marketing database vendors, Sales Operations, Sales management, & Marketing team.
Essential Qualifications
Requirements include:
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science, with major in Math, Economics, Statistics, Business, Marketing Sciences, or Market Research preferred.
Must be able to work with Excel, Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics and BI tools. TIBCO Spotfire preferred.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to utilize databases and internet for research
Must be able to work across organizational levels, including Market leaders, Sales leadership, Marketing Programs, individual contributors, and executives.
Strong problem solving skills
Detailed oriented
Located in Denver, Vancouver or Boston areas
