Who We Want:

Bazaarvoice is looking for a motivated Market Development Manager who has demonstrable experience in establishing, cultivating and maintaining relationships with leadership level contacts within a named list environment. Those relationships should uncover opportunities to deploy Bazaarvoice solutions and yield deeper, more strategic, market insight. The desired candidate understands how to assess a company?s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically.
Persistence and attention to detail are vital to success in this role. We need self-motivated, high energy, sales professionals that can think strategically, are comfortable with conceptual selling, and can create momentum within sometimes large and complex organizations. We want candidates that can do those things with passion and a good sense of humor. After all, if it?s not fun, it?s just a job and that?s not Bazaarvoice.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their ability to; properly research and catalog contact, account and opportunity information, build and execute upon a realistic call plan, establish solid relationships with role players at all levels of an organization, and effectively manage expectations, in partnership with the assigned Sales Director.
Can effectively manage their bandwidth in the context of managing a portfolio of accounts
Can work as part of a selling team, with a focus on managing relationships
Can adequately set expectations and deliver on those promises
Uses effective sales techniques to uncover those customer needs that can be addressed through Bazaarvoice solutions
Can articulate the benefits of using our solutions to prospective customers across a broad array of industries
Bachelor?s degree highly preferred; Marketing, Business, MIS
Prior sales experience required; exposure to Solution Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Sandler, or SPIN strongly preferred
Basic understanding of Social solutions
Experience working with Salesforce.com is a strong plus
Demonstrated work ethic and consistent over achievement
Experience with selling ecommerce-focused solutions
The ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter are vital to this role
