Who We Want:
Bazaarvoice is looking for a bright and unique Market Development Associate who has demonstrable experience in influencing the closing of business by identifying and cultivating opportunities in a named list selling environment. The desired candidate understands how to assess a company?s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically.
Creativity and persistence are vital to this role. We need individuals who are hungry and can make business happen, who do not stop when obstacles are encountered, but rather, find an alternate way to break into a company and continually drive momentum. We want candidates whose energy can be felt on the other end of the line: we want ambition.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their ability to influence the sales cycle, cite examples of shepherding business through a pipeline, can become a Bazaarvoice product specialist, and has excellent client facing communication skills while displaying confidence in positioning a high-ROI solution with potentially high investment cost.
Can build productive relationships within a portfolio of accounts through effective time management and interpersonal skills
Uses effective sales techniques to uncover those customer needs that can be addressed through Bazaarvoice solutions
Can articulate the benefits of using our solutions to prospective customers across a broad array of industries
Comfortable with conceptual selling while still able to demonstrate ROI
Bachelor?s degree highly preferred; Marketing, Business, MIS
Prior sales experience required; exposure to Solution Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Sandler, or SPIN strongly preferred
Basic understanding of Social solutions
Experience working with Salesforce.com is a strong plus
Demonstrated work ethic and consistent over achievement
Experience with selling ecommerce-focused solutions
The ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter are vital to this role
This role is key to a one-on-one partnership with Sales Directors. Closing business and maintaining our cultural values is our goal, and we need individuals whose energy and ambition will drive Bazaarvoice to the next step.
