The Market Development Representative (MDR) is the member of the sales team primarily responsible for the earlier stages of the sales cycle in complex enterprise deals. The MDR will focus on early opportunity development of applications of major accounts by unearthing projects in Fortune 1000 companies through self-driven and savvy prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing. The primary market focus for this role is in the Financial Services industry ? mortgage, retail banks, and collections ? but will also need some familiarity with telecommunications, utilities, consumer services, retail, airlines and healthcare.
Work with marketing managers, account executives and sales leaders to develop a strategy and execute a plan to find qualified opportunities.
Leverage a variety of tools available to seek out prospects - social media, phone, web, email, etc.
Creatively navigate complex organizations to find decision makers and key influencers to engage.
Work closely with marketing to coordinate effective campaigns to fill your lead funnel.
Build sales intelligence for targeted accounts to inform future marketing campaigns and facilitate faster conversions.

Meet or exceed a quarterly quota of opportunities accepted into the sales pipeline.

Track relevant sales activity and manage lead pipeline using SalesForce.com.
Achieve and maintain expertise in all Varolii products/services, contact center operations/technology, and target industry trends.
Provide feedback to marketing about product reception and desired features.
