Market Development Representative BARRX Medical
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Halo business at existing accounts in pre-determined geographic Markets
Reports to Region Manager
Works closely with Territory Managers (TM), Region Managers (RM) and Marketing Department utilizing REACH and other marketing tools to increase Average Generator Utilization (AGU) in the specific hospitals, ASC?s and markets.
Facilitate Peer To Peer functions with customers, specifically Primary Care Physicians (PTP)
Drive execution of Pinnacle to maintain patient flow and influence payer policy in conjunction with Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM)
Work with RM and TM?s in a region developing a strategic business plan to achieve a territory revenue and AGU objective.
Develop tactical strategies for physician segments, based on patient selection criteria segmentation, ie convince GI?s and (PCP) to treat to the AGA Barrett?s MPS to increase procedure volumes
Development of procedural leading physicians in the desired market
Deliver didactic lecture material at Peer to Peer dinners
With RM, and TM determine 10 accounts in a Region to focus their business plan
Implement quarterly QRP plans to achieve sales and AGU goals for the desired market
Assist in building relationships with Referral Sources, ie Primary Care Physicians (PCP), ENT, and General Surgeons to increase Barrett?s (BE) patients at the set accounts
Educate non Halo GI physicians, PCP, ENT, General and Thoracic Surgeons on AGA (BE) guidelines, clinical data on progression and benefits of Halo.
Work with GI Solutions marketing department on Direct to Consumer Marketing programs
Utilize REACH, (Covidien, GI Solutions, community Marketing and outreach tools) to educate the community on BE?s and Halo. REACH may include but is not limited to the following:
a. ICD-9 Patient Education Mailers to treating Halo GI?s existing BE patients
b. Patient Education Seminars (PES)
c. Propensity Education Mailers to the community to promote (PES)
d. Dinners with treating Halo doctors and their referring Primary Care Physicians
e. Partnering with the hospitals Marketing Department to include Halo in the Hospital patient newsletter
f. Website development to include BE and Halo
g. Working with ECAN
h. Press Releases
i. Radio spots
j. Local TV News spots with treating Halo Dr. and a successfully treated BE patient
k. Local newspaper spots highlighting a treated patient and Dr.
Experience Calling on GI physicians, primary care physicians, Surgeons, ENT, internal medicine
Experience in developing new innovative markets, paradigm shifting consultative selling
Experience using clinical data to conversationally sell and change the way a Dr. treats a disease
Solid job skills in business planning/consulting with multiple cross functional contacts
Experience working with marketing tools and programs to increase patient volumes
3+ years pharmaceutical Sales experience with Bachelor Degree
EXPERIENCE (please note required or Preferred):
Medical Device Sales experience preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Usual office environment with frequent- sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, stooping and occasional- climbing.
Frequent- use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery.
Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally- and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
-Occasional: Activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.
-Frequent: Activity exists between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
