Livingly Media, publisher of Lonny.com, is looking for an experienced Market Editor to oversee the front of the book sections in its issues. This is a full-time position based out of our New York City office.About the job
Some of these responsibilities include:
Attending press previews and other trade events.
Conceptualizing what will go into each section.
Selecting the products or editorial items.
Working with Editorial Coordinators to procure imagery within Market section.
Writing much of the intros and blurbs in the Market section.
Work with the Editor-in-Chief on the overall look and tone as well as the design department on executing that vision.
Representing the site at home & design events, speaking on panels and making on-air television / radio appearances when called on.
About you
You?re a seasoned writer and editor who?s worked in the home / design / garden / architecture space in an editorial capacity for for at least four years. A portion of those years were spent focused on market trends.
You have print magazine experience, but are interested in innovations happening online.
You have industry contacts and know the shelter space intimately.
You work as well on a team as you do autonomously, and embrace a player-coach mentality.
