Market Fleet Coordinator Zipcar

The Market Fleet Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the success and optimization of both the Zipcar Fleet and Fleet Team staff through the use of lean processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation and installation of Zipcar's proprietary access system
Manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair and cleanliness of the market area.
Manage vendor performance on weekly tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime and minimize costs
Manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard
Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime
Perform field vehicle tasks, such as jumping dead batteries, changing tires and moving vehicles.
Manage fleet operations staff
Work with the Market Manager to acquire new parking locations in key areas
Assigns daily tasks to vendors or fleet associates, using the Fleet Board.
Maximizes market through strategic car placement.
Leverages established lean process concepts.
Handles Fleet-related customer service issues as conveyed by Member Services, including accidents.
Monitors rates and maintains relationships with car service vendors.
Assists Management in identifying parking locations.
Identifies big picture trends/issues and recommends solutions to expand and improve the Zipcar Fleet.
Identifies issues that may impact the Zipcar community.
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:
Four year college degree in related field, preferred.
Must pass Zipcar driving history requirements.
Prior management experience.
Experience in fast-paced environment.
Flexible to be on-call, as needed.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to carry collateral materials and displays.

Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
