Market Research Project Manager
Experience:
1-3 years of Market Research. Pharmaceutical/health care industry knowledge/experience a plus.
Education:
BA Required
Overall Position Summary:
The Project Manager will join the client services team within a growing market research business. The Project Manager will work with the Account Manager and Operations Associate to execute market research project. Project Manager will have interaction with other market research firms, pharmaceutical/healthcare companies and financial services customers in managing the fielding of projects.
Project Manager will interface directly with clients, such as directors of market insights & analysis, brand managers, market researchers within both large and small pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, Project Manager will interface directly with clients, such as hedge fund managers, money managers, and financial and equity analysts. Project Manager will also work closely with multiple internal team members, including client services, sales, operations, and accounting. The position demands building strong relationships with clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects. The person will field and monitor surveys, manage other vendors involved in the project and use Epocrates market research tools to send appropriate sample.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage Preparation and Fielding of Studies
• Through Epocrates web-based tools, launch and monitor survey invitations, completions disqualifications, and quotas/subquotas.
Work daily with clients to implement projects
• Work with clients to implement projects and provide status updates on projects
• Work with/provide guidance to internal operations associates for preparing survey respondent/sample list(s) and project set-up
• Work with internal account manager on study expectations and execution.
• Manage vendors for International projects or projects that need supplementation
• Run miscellaneous Microsoft Access queries to provide survey status information
• Apply business and technical skills to troubleshoot as necessary
• Follow standard operating procedures to prepare documentation for client invoicing and to process respondent honorarium reimbursement
Other Duties
• Ensure operational efficiency and consistency
• Manage internal projects as needed
• Respond to customer support inquiries as appropriate via telephone and email
Primary Skills and Critical Competencies:
• Customer service driven with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail. Understanding of the qualitative and quantitative research process
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures as well as recommend operational improvements to increase process efficiency
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage projects to accomplish desired results, ability to multitask
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel and able to run queries on SAS and Microsoft Access
• Self-starter who can work independently to solve problems creatively and prioritize tasks
• Ability to deal with a certain level of ambiguity and try to get clarification as this product offering is still new and evolving
• Comfort dealing with all levels of external clients, C-level executives to administrative assistants
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple groups/departments, such as engineering, analytics and accounting
Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
