This is a temporary position with a tentative start date of 9/1/14.
The Marketing Administrative Assistant contributes to the accomplishment of Marketing and Sales practices and objectives. The individual will be responsible for all administrative functions in the marketing and sales department including: providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team, limited graphic design support, literature fulfillment, coordination of company?s sales meeting and sales training events; managing calendars, travel, lead fulfillment, expense reporting, and other duties as assigned.
Responsible for coordination of all company sales meetings and sales training events, including national and regional meetings and training of the field sales force, applying creativity to complete successful events to meet objectives, budget and timeframe requirements.
Completes successful coordination of travel requirements, (air, hotel, meals and entertainment) expense reporting.
Maintains department purchase order system.
Assists with creating presentations and promotional flyers.
Performs data entry for lead management and data base management.
Completes tradeshow coordination, support and logistics, including post show lead fulfillment and management activities.
Maintains business calendar for department.
Performs special projects and non-essential functions for marketing department as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining adequate office supplies and literature inventory.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor?s degree preferred but not required; minimum of some college course work with emphasis in Marketing.
3-5 years experience in marketing and sales administration.
A background in the healthcare industry is a plus.
Technical Skills Required
Strong computer skills must include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design projects.
Interpersonal Skills Required
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work with little supervision, interpret data and take independent action on decisions.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Work is in a standard office environment, but requires frequent movement and some occasional lifting of literature and supply boxes.
Extensive use of the computer and keyboard for most of the workday.
Requires the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work in a face paced, high energy environment.
