Description
The principle goal for a Marketing Analysis & Insights Sr. Analyst is to diligently execute the day-to-day activities required to maintain a marketing web analytics program and to develop innovative products and deliverables. MAI Sr. Analyst will be responsible for working with Associate analytics, individual clients and account managers/directors to identify, understand, and meet the web analytics needs through both custom and scalable reports and analysis.
The major objective is to mentor junior staff, work proficiently within at least one of the major web analytic software tools (Omniture, Google Analytics, Core Metrics, Webtrends, Unica), provide research and thought leadership, provide insight on customer data and support senior staff initiatives. This position will report to the MAI Manager.
Marketing Analysis and Insights (MAI) Sr. Analyst need to be detail-oriented and a team player, have experience implementing a measurement program using Omniture, Google Analytics, Core Metrics or Webtrends, have the ability to work on multiple assignments along with supervising junior staff, strategic and tactically capable, and effectively use data to provide actionable insights and ensure that the highest quality on all client deliverables and that all project deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
Four primary objectives:
Be proficient with at least one of the major web analytic tools: Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, Webtrends
Proficient analytical skills ? analyzing data, disseminating actionable insights, etc.
Proficient techniques for gathering data
Demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and in writing
Management
Openly communicating with MAI leadership about the volume of requests and ongoing deliverables
Supervise & mentor junior analyst
Manage projects
Coordination with developers and media teams as needed
High partner and customer satisfaction
Partnering with account team in a professional manner to support account planning and customer strategy
Maintain relationship with internal and external data providers, and provide feedback on tool, data, and reporting improvements
Technology
Extensive experience implementing & managing measurement strategy programs using one of the four web analytic tools: Omniture, Web Trends, Core Metrics, or Google Analytics
Web analytics, social, survey and mobile measurement tools administration, tagging requirements development, testing and data quality assurance
QA, identification, documentation and debugging code and software issues working with Tech
Campaign tracking code development and testing (collaborating with other agencies when necessary)
Excel or DW/BI reporting system management
Testing software management and testing plans
Analysis
Recognizing trends in consumer and advertiser behavior and proactively informing teams and clients
Segmentation, social media, survey, market share, web behavioral analysis
Infometrics and Reporting
Interpretation of web analytics
Statistical analysis in SPSS or SAS
Panel based traffic, search, and e-commerce analysis
A/B or multivariate testing results analysis
Analysis presentation development (PPT words & images, then numbers), internal and client team presentation of analysis
Experience with one or more:
Web analytics tools implementation, management and analysis (e.g., Omniture, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Core Metrics, Webtrends)
Campaign or media tools tracking back to website (e.g., DoubleClick (DFA/DART), Google Adwords, ExactTarget, Searchmart)
Social media measurement tools (e.g., Collective Intellect, Radian6, Evolve24, Buzz Metrics)
Mobile measurement tools (e.g., Mobilytics, Admob, Mongoose Metrics, Bango)
Mobile application measurement tools (e.g., Mobclix)
Widget measurement (e.g., Clearspring)
Required Skills:
Ability to understand client and client service goals, and to design and implement reports and/or models to deliver insights
Post-secondary degree; with preference for those who have completed the Web Analytics Associations? UBC Course, or a related program in eCommerce with 3+ years experience in the marketing industry (online or offline), statistical based degree a plus
Marketing background is a plus

Education and Experience:
Minimum, 4-year college degree within a quantitative area preferred
4-6 years of experience working with digital media in a quantitative capacity
