Marketing Analyst - 446 Tensilica

To develop effective relationships with Sales Managers and Customer contacts to build and maintain a process for obtaining a current comprehensive financial projection for future processor IP royalty payments leveraging many sources of information. Candidate must be savvy about electronic product lifecycles and be able to mix solid business financial literacy with great communication skills. Candidate should be confidence enough with financial systems and tools to develop a process that measures the success toward improved forecasting accuracy. The projections produced will be used internally and externally as a basis for communicating royalty forecasts related to current and future strategic plans. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and enhance detailed bottoms-up models to forecast royalty projections from existing and future licensees
Comprehensive analysis of historical royalty data, current royalties and projections, internal reporting
Work closely with Tensilica Marketing departments to create modeling frameworks and perform sensitivity analyses
Work closely with Tensilica Sales and Customer Support teams to collect information on specific customer design wins and business forecasts. Must be able to also interface with our customer?s marketing organizations to glean ongoing insights about end-customer design wins and future volume projections
Work with Tensilica business unit marketing teams to build ?tops-down? segment models, and to correlate/calibrate the bottoms-up forecasts with the macro tops-down modeling
Maintain a high level of discipline toward documenting findings and setting priorities to assist in maximizing royalty revenues
Perform competitive benchmarking comparisons for similar forecasted data, leveraging public and 3rd party market data
Expected to assist in multi-year strategic planning business forecasting (TAM, SAM, SOM); assisting in current year license Sales booking forecasting; supporting Marketing department regarding pricing and quoting implementation, and performing price discounting trend analysis.
Provide summary Licensee information to support royalty compliance efforts as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
3 or more years of total relevant work experience. Experience in semiconductors or semiconductor IP marketing is strongly preferred
Must be fully proficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Database skills a plus
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Periodic travel, including international travel, may be required
BA in business administration. MBA preferred.
