Location: San Francisco, CA
Cleantech Group has an opening for a team-oriented, highly motivated Marketing and Sales Support Specialist, who will play a key supporting role in events marketing and sponsorship sales.
The individual will report to marketing, but will work closely with the entire events and sales teams to drive audience acquisition and sponsorship revenue.
This individual will be comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks, and working with cross-functional teams to get the job done. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for events, marketing,
sales, sustainability, and innovation.

Cleantech Group's i3 market intelligence platform, which tracks over $7 billion of deal flow across 22,000 cleantech companies annually, allows subscribers to discover companies and explore resource technology trends strategically with proprietary real-time data.
Support Sales and Event team with event sponsorship sales by preparing tailored proposals based
on input from sales reps and executives
Take care of all admin associated with the close of a sponsorship sales (e.g., making edits to proposals based on requests of prospect or sales reps, uploading files to Salesforce)
Create sponsorship collateral (i.e., draft content, update websites, design sponsorship brochures)
Draft copy for email marketing campaigns tied to audience acquisition, attendee communications, and sponsor outreach
Design HTML email templates for event marketing, and execute email marketing campaigns using Marketo to drive audience acquisition
Help manage content in event microsites and the Upcoming Events section of cleantech.com
Proofread event signage, event program guides, and all other event material
Execute other marketing campaigns for other lines of the business as needed
BA or BSc degree, ideally in marketing, business, or a relevant field
Strong copywriting and copyediting skills with an eye for details
Experience designing marketing collateral, websites, or graphics
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, HTML, Photoshop, and InDesign
Familiarity with Marketo, Salesforce, and Wordpress
Prior experience (ideally 2+ years) working with sales and marketing is preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and perform various duties under tight deadlines
An excellent writer with a key eye for design
Passionate about creating visually-appealing materials that reinforce a brand and ensure consistent messaging
Creative and incredibly detail-oriented
Self-motivated, and results-oriented with a positive approach to dealing with strong personalities and demands from multiple stakeholders
An excellent and efficient communicator, both written and verbal, who can handle and prioritize requests and deliverables
Able to use good judgment in time-sensitive situations
This full-time paid position will require the candidate to work out of Cleantech Group's San Francisco office.
