The Marketing and Web Analyst is a new role within the eCommerce team and for the right candidate offers a unique opportunity to define the strategy in building and managing our in-house analytics tools and platforms.
Google Analytics is the bread and butter platform for analyzing web visits and understanding visitor patterns so fluency on this platform is a must. We are also developing highly sophisticated analytical capabilities to give a single view of the Customer across multiple channels. This will involve integrating relevant data from disparate sources, so solid SQL skills are a must. You will also have a clear idea about data enrichment and how to progress from collecting raw data through to providing clean information that can be utilized by Marketing segmentation systems.
A key skill will be drawing insight from the analytics and proposing tangible actions to improve the customer experience. An understanding of what makes insightful and actionable reporting and capabilities around data visualization are highly desirable.
This role will involve:
Creating web analytics dashboards using data from Google Analytics and other analytics platforms
Setting up and configuring analytics platforms and applying the appropriate analytics platform to consume and present the data
Responsible for the integrity, enrichment, usability and breadth of customer and product analytics data for use in segmentation, targeting and insight
Providing advice and information based on analytics to other members of the organization
Working closely with the Customer Insight team to finesse the data and algorithms we use for consumer segmentation and other segment dimensions
Identify links within online digital data and off-line customer analytics for continual evolution and sophistication of the Singe Customer View
We're looking for someone with experience of working in a strong data driven environment and who holds a degree in a numerate discipline or equivalent experience and proactively keeps up to date on topics such as web analytics, statistics, machine learning and marketing automation.
