Position OverviewThe Marketing Associate will report to the Marketing Director and manage or assist with the company?s marketing programs, including vendor marketing programs, local event coordination, press releases, graphic design assistance, and miscellaneous projects.
This position will work closely with sales and management to create communication programs, assist with conferences and special events, and maximize LightEdge?s presence in the market through networking and community participation projects. This position will be located in the Overland Park, KS office.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and fully take advantage of vendor marketing opportunities and funds
Assist with graphic design needs
Assist with seminars and special event planning
Support tracking and analyzing of marketing programs for effectiveness
Support public relations efforts
Provide consistent and effective internal communication to employees, especially sales
Oversee the company?s collateral materials
Maintain logos and marketing artwork files
Maintain media contact list
Stay connected with the market in terms of marketing opportunities and contacts
Develop and coordinate community volunteer efforts to build goodwill
Manage or support other marketing and administrative projects as needed
Ideal Candidate:
College graduate
Excellent writing & verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented
Involved in the local community through professional and volunteer organizations
Previous experience with vendor partner programs (Cisco, EMC, VMware, etc.) a plus.
Ability to think independently, problem solve and recommend course of action
Willingness to pitch in and help as needed above and beyond base responsibilities in order to achieve company goals
