The primary role of the Marketing Communications Coordinator is to work in collaboration with the marketing and communications teams to create qualified opportunities for revenue growth by building brand awareness. In this role, these opportunities will be achieved primarily through the timely and accurate delivery of desired messages to targeted audiences in a manner that is precise, bold and realistic.
In conjunction with other communications team members, supports internal and external clients by planning, researching, writing and scheduling the development of customer-facing messages.
Distributes timely, accurate and well-written communications across various channels, including: email messaging, sales literature (print and electronic), Web, intranet/ SharePoint, in-house television, and corporate events.
Coordinates the day-to-day set-up and execution of HTML-designed email messages using the company?s email automation platform (SilverPop).
Monitors success of each communications deliverable to identify opportunities to improve content and increase engagement.
Compiles reports on key metrics, including: response and click-thru rates; impressions; page views; etc., for further analysis and review by the team?s marketing analyst and communications managers.
Proactively creates and maintains a calendar of anticipated communications needs.
Secures content for in-house television network and coordinates the preparation and delivery of internal communications through this channel.
Works closely with the marketing, design and product teams to create and manage production of well-written and visually appealing communications, emails and related digital marketing materials.
Is a guardian of and advocate for the Availity brand.
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (Required)
2 years of applicable office support experience.
Demonstrated experience using at least one of the leading email marketing service providers.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to and with a diverse group of professionals.
A solid planner with high attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Ability to juggle the needs of multiple clients and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Ability to work well under pressure, while maintaining composure.
Adept at working independently as well as with a team.
Well-skilled in Microsoft Office; specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
Familiarity with CAN-SPAM Act.
High degree of business acumen, inquisitiveness.
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (Preferred)
Prefer 2+ years of experience in a marketing communications role, with focus on email marketing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
Knowledge of customer lifecycle (activation, development, retention, re-activation) and marketing segmentation strategies.
Experience creating and managing auto-responder and triggered email campaigns, to include experience defining list selection criteria, writing queries, and creating email lists.
Experience planning, executing, tracking and reacting to email marketing tests (subject line, time of day, frequency, messaging, audience selection, etc.).
Knowledge of HTML and current standards of email design.
Health care industry experience strongly desired.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION (Required)
Associate?s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism/ Media or related field.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION (Preferred)
Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism/ Media or related field.
Pragmatic Marketing certification.
