As the Director of Marketing Communications, you will be a leader on Mashery?s marketing team responsible for driving the company?s marketing strategy, planning, positioning, and messages to employees and to the market. Acting as marketing?s leading advocate, you will influence every department of the company and provide marketing guidance, own the editorial calendar and production schedule, and ensure we have the right tools and templates so that everyone can support the Mashery story in everything they do, have a positive and measurable impact on revenue, and focus on growing the company.
Develop marketing communications guidelines for all company communications and ensure everyone is aware of and complies with all company standards and guidelines.
Develop and train every employee on Mashery and Intel guidelines, from tone and voice to visual identity.
Provide tools and templates (with embedded instructions) that make it easy for every employee to be a Mashery & Intel ambassador, including but not limited to:
Presentation templates that are modular and useful
Collateral templates and instructions
Event ?kits? including signage and collateral
Partner ?kits? including signage, collateral, and other materials needed by Mashery partners
Synchronizing across demand generation, product marketing, events, and corporate communications
Document processes for content creation, review, and approval
Set up ?pool? of internal and external authors for various content types
Become an expert in using Mashery & Intel content management and marketing tools to deliver content to the right audiences in the right places
Create a content map to the buyer?s journey and identify what we have and what we need
Use all media types to communicate effectively (from video to online to events)
Drive the development and execution of all corporate editorial content for Mashery, including events and demand generation programs, from signage and collateral to promotional items.
Foster organization-wide understanding and support for Mashery & Intel communications policiies and standards.
Develop and manage marketing communications strategy, plans, and budget. Track and report regularly on status.
Develop appropriate tracking metrics to determine the ROI of various marketing deliverables ?jointly with Demand Generation, Events, and Corporate Communications leaders.
Analyze and compare Mashery marketing communications with both the competitive set and with benchmark companies (those we aspire to be like).
Present regularly and share insights with Marketing and other stakeholders (especially Sales and Product Management).
Work collaboratively with other departments to align marketing activities to the company?s broader vision and goals.
Help develop and coordinate semiannual and quarterly marketing plans and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve the organization?s goals.
Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials by working with internal creative teams and external production vendors to support sales and marketing programs.
Bachelor?s degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years management experience
Excellent organizational and process management capabilities
Demonstrated experience developing and executing projects, budgets, and strategic campaigns
Broad experience and knowledge of marketing communications practices, from copywriting to visual identity
Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships; superior ability to work with diverse personalities and foster both collaboration and flawless execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior networking and planning skills, combined with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines and to prioritize based on business impact
Experience and working knowledge of core marketing and communications functions
Excellent creative and objective writing skills
Demonstrated creative thinking skills with an emphasis on group dynamics
