The marcom manager is responsible for creating interest, demand, and ultimately raising awareness of IFS. The role will oversee marcom planning, development, coordination, and execution of all marketing communication programs. This person will also work to ensure that all company messaging and brand guidelines are consistent with company image and positioning. They will consult with other areas of management, sales, and external agencies to leverage specific marcom activities. In addition, this manager will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the marcom team.
Manages all web marketing, trade shows, public relations, advertising, and direct marketing activities
Manages the creation of sales aids, presentations, brochures, and promotional material
Manages and tracks the development of brand awareness in the North American region
Develops and executes a plan to build an active community of influencers using a wide variety of social media tools including, for example, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube, online associations and community forums. Monitors online and social channels for reputation and response management; acting on and routing issues, as appropriate, to manage them.
Drives the evolution of the website to be more engaging and interactive while enabling more sales via increase sales leads
Oversees preparation of presentations for internal and external events
Develops and prepares a marketing communications plan and calendar
Manages outsourcing of certain activities to increase the capacity of the team
Participates with other managers to establish strategic plans and objectives
Manages internal communication to IFS employees and sales staff
Experience in B-to-B marketing most specifically in the area of business software applications
5+ years of proven marketing communications management experience
5+ years in managing personnel as part of a marcom team - previous management experience required
Experience in public relations, marketing communications, and social media with a strong understanding of online marketing
Very strong project management skills, along with excellent oral and written communications skills
A strong self-starter with personal initiative and drive
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and creative
Ability to communicate effectively with other senior managers
