Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, the Marketing Communications Manager is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications professional that can take a leadership role in bringing the Acquia story and message to the market. In addition to broad marketing communications experience, the Marketing Communications Manager is a proven team player, with experience working on global cross-functional teams and experience executing cohesive marketing programs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing editorial strategy, editorial outreach, coordination of press presentations, interview requests, speaking engagements, media communication tools and press releases.
Seek out opportunities with existing customers and clients, taking lead role in the development of PR opportunities
Execute a global public relations strategy, managing PR agencies in multiple regions. Proven ability to create a global communications workflow to ensure efficient spread of news and announcements to all markets.
Regularly collaborate with senior management, sales, product marketing, and other key colleagues to develop and rollout messaging across the company.
Optimize and expand Acquia?s events program to include speaker placements, PR and social marketing opportunities, and content development.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelors degree required.
3-5 years experience directing, managing and implementing all facets of worldwide marketing communications, public relations, and content marketing.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with editors and bloggers across trade and business publishers to establish Acquia as a thought leader in open source, web and social software markets.
Experience defining and achieving marketing communications objectives.
