GreatCall markets services and applications that help people using mobile devices to stay safe, healthy and connected. We work with partners to create solutions that fulfill these needs, and ensure our products are easy-to-use and backed by high quality customer service. These channels include traditional channels in our core ?connectivity? business, with its flagship product, the Jitterbug cell phone, as well as new channels on non-GreatCall handsets through partnerships with carriers, apps stores, and healthcare companies.
About the Team
The Marketing and Branding team is responsible for the strategy and execution of all traditional and non-traditional customer facing communications programs to support the growth of the GreatCall brand and its products and services, as well as critical communications to customer-facing partners. This includes, but is not limited to: direct response media (television, print, radio, and direct mail), collateral materials, interactive, retail point-of-purchase, public relations support, trade marketing, and general branding initiatives.
About the Job
The Marketing Communications Manager will create, implement and manage a broad range of marketing programs and campaigns that effectively communicate and promote the organization?s initiatives. A campaign can be created for any type of initiative, including products, services, promotions, advertising, retail opportunities, new offers, new service plans, and any other type of project the company undertakes. The GreatCall method of bringing initiatives to market includes a vetting process through senior leadership where projects are initiated and approved for further action. Once a project is approved, the Marketing Communications manager will take that initiative and work it through to the market. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, this person will collaborate to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing strategies to align activities and deliver deadline-sensitive materials on time and on budget. The Marketing Communications Manager will also be a key liaison to both the advertising and public relations agencies and other vendors, providing direction and project management.
Lead regular development of marketing communications for company campaigns inclusive of advertising, new products, promotions, and more.
Work with key company stakeholders to develop effective project briefs.
Input and direct external agency efforts and/or internal resources to develop and implement projects.
Work flawlessly with internal Marketing teams including Media and Advertising, Retail Sales, Product Marketing, and Digital Advertising to implement integrated marketing campaigns.
Review and edit marketing communications for effectiveness, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
Manage project initiatives from conception to completion, including budget management, deadline management and implementation.
Manage several direct reports, which can include Marketing Specialists, Graphic Designers or other necessary team members.
Education: Minimum of Bachelor?s Degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
Minimum 7 years marketing communications experience
Minimum 3 years either in agency liaising with clients or in-house at a company managing agency relationship
Broad understanding of integrated marketing ? this role touches many facets of marketing and general business functions
Requires excellent writing and editing skills, as well as strong verbal communications
Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
Strength in integrative thinking, analytical/critical thinking and problem solving
Competency in collaboration, teamwork and influencing
Strong sense of both creative aesthetics and written communications
Solid organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Superior professionalism and judgment
Strong work ethic
Ability to multi-task and react quickly to changes in the demands of the business
