Marketing Content Specialist / Intern Impinj

Impinj Corporate Communications group is seeking a talented writer to be responsible for developing and executing specific communications projects relating to our RFID products and systems business. Projects include sourcing, writing, and editing case studies, articles, newsletter items, web and social media content, and other materials in support of the company's goals. This position requires excellent skills and demonstrated experience in the areas of researching, interviewing, writing, and editing for diverse audiences.

This is a part-time position through June. Seniors expecting to graduate with a BA/BS in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related business field who are available to work part-time while completing their degrees are encouraged to apply. If a full-time position is available in June, successful interns will be given priority consideration.

The position will work closely with counterparts on the Communications, Sales, and Marketing teams to create cohesive and consistent communications.

• Source, write, and obtain approval for marketing collateral including web and social media content, contributed articles, case histories, newsletters, etc.
• Coordinate marketing collateral design with graphic design contractor.
• Review and edit corporate communications content for accuracy and consistency.
• Help research, build and maintain content tracking lists.
• Keep employees apprised of developments and news in the RFID industry.
• Assist with special projects as requested, including:
  
  • Prepare marketing and sales media folders
  • Assist with direct mail promotions and advertising activities
  • PowerPoint slide creation or editing
  • Maintain files and records

• BA/BS in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related business field.
• Exceptional written communication, spelling, and proofreading skills.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and handle details accurately in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• Successful experience working in a communications role at a technology company.
• Proven experience understanding and communicating technology including markets, industry trends, and customer needs.
