Treat - Business/Marketing Manager Treat - Sunnyvale, CA
Contract Role/ Expected 20 hours per week to start
Position Overview:
Shutterfly is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-oriented marketer with a strong sense for business management and planning to help drive the growth and business performance for our new Treat greeting card brand. S/he will be responsible for the day-to-day website merchandising, promotions, site enhancements, process improvements, analysis of site and more. This role is highly cross-functional in nature and as such the candidate must thrive in a collaborative environment and possess the ability to form strong working relationships with their peers. This role reports to the Senior Director/GM of Treat and is a unique role for someone who has what it takes to execute in a fast-paced environment and who is looking to gain significant experience in running an ecommerce site.
Scope of Responsibilities:
1. Marketing/Creative/Merchandising. Collaborate with Marketing/Creative to manage the overall campaign and creative process for seasonal and everyday campaigns, in support of the Treat website and mobile card app. This includes the development of creative briefs, leading kick offs with the Creative team, and managing the reviews and approvals. Collaborate with Merchandising to ensure that merchandising and content is properly aligned with targeted customer needs and expectations. Test and optimize Treat positioning and unique value proposition on site with target audience to improve overall effectiveness of our marketing communications.
2. Site Project Management. Responsible for driving day-to-day management of website merchandising, promotions, and the operations schedule and calendar for Treat. Plan, organize and manage deliverables and deadlines across cross-functional resources (Merchandising, Creative, Product) to assure execution of all business priorities. Lead direction and execution of site merchandising and content to ensure a consistent site user experience.
3. Site Planning. Develop site proposals and requirements with supporting data, insights and business case, and develop site recommendations that will achieve our long-term goals. Collaborate with Product Management and UX on site experience and usability in order to deliver a better overall customer experience. Successfully manage site maintenance and enhancement and bring projects to closure and ensure appropriate communication to internal audiences.
4. Analyses & Testing. Develop solid analytics discipline and taking web analytics (conversion, campaigns, funnels) data to formulate insights and provide input to assist in site strategy and recommendations. Assess business impact of site merchandising, A/B testing, promotion and pricing strategy through close collaboration across multiple functional teams. Develop site tests aimed at optimizing business goals and serve as the business lead for Treat ecommerce projects.
Qualifications:

Proficiency in using conversion tracking tools, including Google Analytics and Omniture (big plus).
Proven analytical skills.
Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams (senior and junior level positions).
Intellectual agility. Great thinker both at strategic and tactical level. Self-confident with excellent decision-making skills.
Proven ability to manage the ongoing operations of a new brand and weather downturns and hyper growth situations. Extremely entrepreneurial and always generating ideas.
Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skill.
Excellent computer and Internet skills with high proficiency with all MS Office products.
