We are currently looking for a part-time data analyst (flexible work schedule) in our Pleasanton office to assist our marketing department with lead generation qualification, reporting and database development. This position will report to the Manager, Marketing Analytics.
The Steelwedge Data Analyst role will be a research intensive role, focusing on demand generation and lead qualification. The ideal candidate will have great online research skills, be comfortable creating analysis of results against monthly metrics and be tireless in sleuthing out new avenues for information. Also crucial to this role is ease with communication and collaboration, as great demand generation comes from tight connection and interaction with both sales and marketing teams.
Research using available online resources like Hoovers, Data.com, InsideView, LinkedIn, and the internet
Analysis for weekly marketing and sales dashboards
Database development and optimization using Salesforce.com, including:
Creating/deactivating user accounts
Managing queues & assignment rules
Updating ownership of records
Territory & role hierarchy management
Permissions/sharing settings management
Maintaining instance and driving all subsequent customizations and enhancements
Required Skills and Experience:
Should be comfortable in a start-up environment: quick study, adaptable, and self-motivated
College/university graduate with marketing, communications, or business background
Available to work in our Pleasanton office at least two to three days a week. Looking for 20-30 hour/week engagement
Interest in business-to-business technology industry
Excellent research skills
Strong analytical acumen
Detail and deadline focus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Facile organizational skills
Advantageous to have background expertise with Salesforce.com and Marketo systems
