The Marketing Database Analyst will provide support in the development and implementation of best practices for site reporting, testing and website marketing analytics and overall performance analyses across all marketing channels.
Demonstrate ownership of data integrity; Ensure that it supports the analyses and recommendations being proposed.
Drive organizational engagement in site optimization efforts through a can do attitude, first-rate insight generation and effective relationship building and teamwork.
Provide rapid turnaround support for Ad-hoc data and reporting needs of multiple business units across the company.
Contribute substantially in defining the report functional specifications based on business user requirements including visualization.
Hands-on experience in Marketing Analysis, requirements gathering and documentation.
Experience developing and optimizing Enterprise Data Warehouses and Reporting efforts using best of breed BI platforms such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Objects, etc. preferably using STAR schema approach including ETL and ERD design.
Experience developing API-scripting solutions for the purposes of warehousing third-party databases.
Solid analytical skills and integration knowledge.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent analytical skills - ability to understand and interpret data within the context of the business - solve problems and distill data into actionable recommendations.
Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
Strong sense of natural curiosity and eager to know how things work.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with different functional areas.
Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation.
Expert-level competence in all aspects of SQL (i.e. Joins, Selects, Index, Pivot-tables, OLAP concepts, etc.).
Advanced user of Excel.
Familiarity with Marketing and Sales business applications including - Google Analytics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, Webtrends, Salesforce, Marketo, Eloqua, other.
Familiar with A/B and multi-variant test design and analysis.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field
3-5 years hands-on experience with SQL Server technologies in online and Data Warehouse environments.
