Overview:Everyday Health is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Designer to join its team committed to defining and building premium diet, fitness, and health products. This position is a unique combination of marketing design and production, which requires the candidate to work well across a broad range of responsibilities alongside a senior designer.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and design online & print marketing initiatives for a large portfolio of content sites and online products.
Design & produce marketing email campaigns. This includes converting psd layouts to HTML/CSS using best practices, specifically table-based code structure, and the ability to troubleshoot the countless quirks that come with HTML email. Familiarity with email validation programs a plus.
Design & produce acquisition focused banner campaigns, both gif & Flash.
Design & update various promotional based units across subscription sites.
Work across all platforms including desktop, mobile web and responsive design.
Qualifications:
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, both under direct supervision and independently.
Expert knowledge of Adobe suite (most importantly Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver) and an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the various web technologies as they relate to development.
Basic, yet solid, understanding of HTML/CSS.
Desire to learn the business of marketing across multiple media.
Strong problem solving skills.
Familiarity with the latest trends in social media and mobile development.
4 year degree in a creative field
2+ years of production and/or design experience
Portfolio of work that demonstrates the range and quality of projects you've worked on
