JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Designer will conceive, develop and design innovative, creative print and electronic materials for Health Integrated internal and external clients including direct marketing (electronic and print), sales presentations, marketing collateral, brochures, website, logos, premiums, display graphics, promotional items, live events, program communications for clients and other materials and visuals. The Marketing Designer must be able to translate complex concepts into visually relevant, appealing artwork and be able to operate a variety of systems and equipment to design publications, poster presentations, tradeshow displays, vector based animations, create computer generated artwork and illustrations. Conceptualize, layout, illustrate, and prepare a wide variety of artwork. This position may not conduct any activities that require evaluation or interpretation of clinical information.
Education/License/Certification: Bachelor?s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or applicable field is required. Associates degree or commensurate experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum three to five year?s work experience in advertising, sales, marketing and/or related field; in an ad agency and/or in-house creative or marketing department. Experience in a service-related industry such as healthcare is preferred. Project management experience desired.
Innovative Thinking: Recognize the need or opportunity for new or modified approaches in design, communications and marketing.
Ability to generate creative and effective solutions.
Solid business acumen in one or more of the following industries preferred: healthcare, finance, insurance.
Technical and Design Acumen: Keep current on design approaches and emerging technologies related to design.
Strong design and art direction skills, including experience with photo shoots, photo retouching, video and video editing. Illustration and sketching ability a plus.
Have a solid understanding of traditional and electronic design and production techniques, including a thorough understanding of typographic terms such as kerning, leading, cap height, x-height, baseline, bracketed and non-bracketed serifs; offset, litho and digital printing processes and press checks.
Preferred understanding of content management systems (DotNetNuke preferred) and marketing automation tools (Silverpop preferred)
Be able to learn quickly; to design to key market segmentation and apply solutions to meet corporate goals and objectives.

Collaborate and develop strong relationships, easily build rapport and earn the respect of colleagues and vendors. Work independently and as part of a team; work with agencies and freelancers and professionally represent themselves at all times.

Take on multiple projects including complex lead generation campaigns simultaneously, manage a varied and demanding workload and prioritize projects in order to meet all deadlines and budgets.
Work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines. Travel (as needed) to regional, event and tradeshow locations to support marketing and lead generation activities estimated at 5% of time.

Serve as primary design service center for entire organization including creative/design development of all printed and digital communications in support of brand positioning, website, blog, sales activities/presentations, internal communications, trade show exhibits and conferences, ELS Annual Summit. Support and create materials for HI marketing campaigns
Act as key contact with and provide creative direction for external creative agencies (art directors and designers)/freelancers. Provide creative direction to marketing agencies and freelance designers for project and campaign specific activity.
Coordinate and provide project cost estimates for printed materials and promotional items. Obtain price quotes from external vendors, as appropriate, and determine where project will be completed based on cost, timeline and quality needs.
Develop and maintain a system of materials tracking consistent with the requirements of all regulatory and compliance organizations beginning with Health Integrated QI and including URAC, NCQA and Medicare.
Work closely with external production vendors to ensure all appropriate projects are handled consistent with brand and product standards, to designated time frames and within targeted budgets.
Prepare design files to be sent to vendor
Ensure final art complies with quality control and brand standards, continuity and overall professionalism
Create and maintain brand standard guidelines
Customer Delivery ? Engagement Services
Serve as primary design service center for creation of client program communications including creative/design development of all printed and digital communications to client specifications.
Initiate, develop and maintain a system of communication material templates and programs based on product and client demand for effective and efficient production.
Manage client communication demands, needs and priorities with commensurate workflows for members and providers
Analyze program graphics and content guidelines and provide recommendations to drive maximum client engagement
Create and edit client materials (graphic design)
Develop and maintain a system of materials tracking (creation, review, approval) consistent with the requirements of all regulatory and compliance organizations beginning with Health Integrated QI and including URAC, NCQA and Medicare.
Adhere to all schedules while managing multiple and often competing priorities and delivery schedules.
