Description
The Marketing Director will be responsible for supporting a wide range of marketing activities. The MD will assist the VP of PD, Fixation in support of product development, sales management and executive management. MD candidates should be team players with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. They must have strong self-starting qualities to independently manage coordination of multiple projects to ensure timely completion. Candidates also must have an ability to effectively work across functional groups and have strong skills in areas of interpersonal communication, organization, and sound judgement.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist the VP of PD, Fixation with a range of tasks and projects related to corporate marketing and product marketing (These include but are not limited to):
Marketing for Fixation product platforms:
Oversee and develop marketing programs and strategies to drive sales for platforms within the Fixation division. This includes creating marketing initiatives such as advertising campaigns, training, and production of literature for sales representatives and customers
Develop cross branding activities with different products within the segment
Interact and recruit key opinion leaders to research and train on various Globus Medical systems
Coordinate activities between product development, sales and research for the marketing of various systems within the platform
Interact with clinical research team to drive studies and recruit clinicians
Schedule and oversee interaction of KOLs within society meetings, tradeshows, think tanks, and sales meetings.
Coordinate MERC courses to specifically target Fixation platforms
Interaction with product development teams on product performance, pricing strategies and sales performance
Product Management Support: Assist Product Managers with key deliverables:
Product Positioning
Market Research
Marketing Strategy
Develop storyboards and scripts for videos/animations
Coordinate marketing literature and materials for delivery to the sales force
Secondary Responsibilities
Represent the company in a professional manner to regulatory bodies, Medical Board of Directors, Clinical Investigator Groups, surgeons, and sales force
Assist in instructional cadaver labs
Participate in management meetings on strategic initiatives and business planning
Special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
2-5 years experience in medical device or related field in Product Development and/or Marketing in a fast paced environment
MBA required (Ivy League School preferred).
Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher and Power Point is required.
Well organized, detail oriented, and team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment
Strong ability to create and confidently deliver effective presentations to multiple size audiences
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 20-25 of the time
Will be required to attend cadaver labs and surgeries.
