We are looking to accelerate our growth by adding a dynamic and talented Marketing Director to our team. The position reports directly to our Vice President of Sales and Marketing, is located in our headquarters in San Bruno, and requires limited travel.
Working as an integral part of the Sales and Marketing team, the Marketing Director will be responsible for more effectively promoting our solutions and services to achieve marketing goals and sales results. This includes refining and promoting our brand and developing and executing all marketing communications. Your primary job responsibilities will include: leading the development of our marketing strategy, developing/refining all associated key messaging and content, developing and executing our lead generation and lead nurturing activities, including direct marketing/email campaigns, consistently promoting our brand and value propositions through all relevant channels including website, collateral, sales tools, PR, thought leadership and events. Working closely with the sales team, product management, and professional services, you will develop our integrated marketing plans and execute marketing programs and measure results against planned goals, driving all the appropriate deliverables.
We are looking for a superstar Marketing Director who has demonstrated success in integrated marketing program management. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual and a leader who can take projects from concept through implementation and has a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and delivering strong results.
Brand Development/Refinement: Develop, refine, manage and enforce the Nomis brand and our core value pillars through all communication channels including integrated direct marketing programs, seasonal campaigns and promotions, advertising, and events. This is a unique opportunity to build on a brand that is relatively immature.
Content Strategy: Develop/refine key messaging, themes, and value propositions at the corporate and product levels to meet target markets' needs and stimulate demand.
Public Relations: Manage and direct our PR strategy, create our communication plans, managing PR deliverables and activities (either alone or in conjunction with an outside agency or freelancer), and coordinating PR opportunities such as media interviews, analyst relations, and relationships with other influencers.
Event-based Promotions: Formulate strategy focused on building brand and presenting company image at appropriate events. Devise company-wide project plan to ensure deadlines are met. Act as official representative of the company at events and successfully coordinate event and its deliverables, establish goals and measure return on investment.
Development and oversight of all external documents: includes copywriting, management of graphic design, and project management of all Nomis Solutions documentation including: sales collateral, client case studies, website, whitepapers, bylined articles, corporate documents, etc.
Establish, manage, deepen and grow relationships between Nomis and key influencers in the banking industry. Identify, recruit, and develop company advocates, press relationships and evangelists to speak accurately about the company.
Lead generation through integrated direct marketing techniques and coordination of lead follow-through with the sales team.
Maintain a real-time understanding of the competitive landscape to help determine market positioning and messaging, and communicate relevant competitive trends to the broader Nomis team regularly.
Experience / Qualifications
BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred (concentration in one of the following; Business, Economics, Communications, Marketing, or Strategic Management)
A minimum of 7 years experience in progressively more senior marketing roles
Proven success in developing, executing, and maintaining brand management, events and direct marketing programs
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to ?think on your feet?
Demonstrated initiative, individual motivation and the drive to lead marketing initiatives from start to finish
A strong team contributor and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Knowledge of the financial services industry a plus
