The Marketing Director ? operating out of Sunnyvale HQ ? will provide a broad range of communications and marketing support to the GoldSpot Media team. This person should be an ?out-of-the-box? thinker who brings energy and excitement to their role on a day-to-day basis. Ideally this contributor has worked within the online display and/or mobile advertising space and has current relationships with reporters, trades and associations to hit the ground running. The position reports to the CEO.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain relationships with PR agency, journalists, bloggers and analysts specific to the mobile advertising and digital advertising space
Work collaboratively with a diverse cross-functional team to create innovative integrated marketing strategies
Develop external positioning of products and initiatives for a cohesive branded message
Work with industry organizations to secure sponsorship and speaking engagements
Develop thought leadership and market education/research and carry through to completion
Project manage internal contributors, vendors and contractors for the development and production of educational, event and promotional materials
Review, edit and maintain existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling opportunities and adherence to brand guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires superb written and verbal communications
Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects cross-functionally and through completion.
Resourcefulness in solving problems.
Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Strong computer skills and a keen affinity to mobile.
Superior professionalism and judgment.
Strong work ethic.
4-5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications or marketing.
A bachelor?s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is required.
