Marketing Engineer or Manager Summit Microelectronics

Summit Microelectronics, Inc. is looking for a full time Marketing Engineer or Manager to assist in the definition, introduction, promotion, and analysis of new products for the battery charger IC market. This individual needs to have a minimum of 4 years experience in the power IC marketplace.

JOB DUTIES:
? Conduct market and competitive analysis and generate business cases
? Define new product specifications with tier 1 OEMs
? Generate product documentation and PR material
? Assist with strategic plan for battery charging product line
? Track industry standards and explore corresponding opportunities
? Develop product definition specifications
? Be part of a cross functional team together with Applications, Product, Design and Test Engineer during all the phases of new product development

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
? Understanding of portable system designs with focus on the power systems
? Ability to positively interact with customers, distributors and other functional teams within the company
? Knowledge of power electronics for consumer applications ? battery charging preferred
? Proficiency with pc and ms-office software, including excel data reporting and power point

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
? BS in Electrical Engineering

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
? 4 years as an applications engineer or marketing engineer
