Marketing Events Manager

Founded in San Francisco in 1999, ServiceSource International is seeking a well-qualified Marketing Events Manager. The Marketing Events Manager drives the strategy, planning, and execution of company events, road shows, thought-leadership symposiums, customer events, sporting events, tradeshows, webcasts, and C-Level events both domestic and international. This position works very closely with Field Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Outside Sales and will report directly to the Senior Event Manager.
This opportunity requires someone who can work autonomously with minimal supervision but can also work effectively with others collaborating within a team environment. Required Skills & Experience:
? 7 plus years of successful event and tradeshow management experience for B2B high tech, SaaS and/or Cloud industry.
? Able to inspire community, marketing, creative agencies, and editorial/content teams to initiate ?on the fly? marketing ideas that will benefit the business and the brand.
? Strong ability to operate in a fast paced environment and manage a high-volume event calendar.
? Knowledgeable of event marketing campaigns within social media (blogs, mobile apps, social networking platforms, and internal applications like Salesforce.com Chatter).
? Experience in speaker management and call for paper submissions.
? Experience in managing sponsorship contracts and fulfillment of deliverables, including booth selection, lead retrieval, bag drops, advertisements, etc.
? Ability to create, execute and promote new and innovative ideas and concepts through creative thinking.
? Direct pre-event operations, including: venue selection, budget creation and forecasting, exceptional contract negotiation, booth preparations, event staffing, signage creation, ordering collateral and promotional items, purchasing and shipping supplies, housing and travel coordination, on-site services, etc.
? Direct post-event operations, including: metrics, reporting, analytics, budget actuals, unpacking & storing supplies, etc.
? Ability to plan international events from North America and execute by managing a local team virtually.
? Excellent written and spoken communication with the ability to write marketing collateral in multiple tones/voices as appropriate.
? Must have superior organization skills and always looking for ways to improve quality and workflow.
? Deadline and schedule oriented, yet able to flex with dynamically changing priorities.
? Strong knowledge of the tradeshow industry including drayage, union requirements, BOL forms, etc.
? Demonstrated ability to be poised and effective during high-pressure situations
? Ability to anticipate issues and have (or quickly develop) contingency plans.
? Travel: Approximately 30 ? 35% percent domestic and international travel is required for this position.
? Experience with CRM systems, workgroup applications, e-marketing programs, registration platforms, webinar tools, and project management software.
? Computer proficiency especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and working knowledge of both PC and Mac.
? Experience in SEO, HTML, QR code interaction and managing content on websites is a plus.
? Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field.
