Marketing Intelligence Analyst Gilt Groupe
Marketing Intelligence Analyst will be working on understanding demand patterns of Gilt members and customers by defining and tracking critical KPIs. By developing and synthesizing analyses across various data sources and platforms, s/he will be creating a true picture of Demand Health for the entire organization. The insights s/he will deliver would directly influence and shape strategic decisions guiding the Gilt?s future.
Reporting to Senior Analyst, Marketing Intelligence Analyst will work with the key stakeholders across the company to develop analytical solutions supporting a deeper understanding of Demand for Gilt overall, as well as for individual categories, brands and sale events. S/he will be delivering insights and guidance to the Category leaders, helping them understand who is shopping for specific brands and products, informing future sale planning, as well as enhancing vendor relationships by providing valuable insights to brands. Marketing Intelligence Analyst will also be responsible for the area of Web Analytics for Marketing, defining most relevant KPIs across Google Analytics and Hitwise tools and socializing them across the marketing department with POV on application. Working with the Senior Analyst, s/he will be responsible for all of the Demand projections and Marketing KPI-related dashboards and communications. Managing tactical and strategic tasks, the Analyst will be able to balance the need for analytic depth and the business?s need to make decisions quickly.
? Deliver actionable strategic and tactical insights using data and sound analytic methods
? Develop and maintain Demand projections and marketing dashboards
? Design strategies and methodologies to mine complex data sources for strategic insights on demand patterns ? Partner with integrated marketers and category managers to help with sale planning and optimization, and to provide valuable insights to the brand partners ? Provide accurate and relevant member and customer information to PR and BD departments to help them with outside communications and business development pitches ? Provide guidance to Acquisition, BD and PR teams on lifetime evaluation of the membership cohorts ? Answer data-related business questions in a timely manner utilizing a variety of available Business Intelligence tools
We seek a person who is passionate about analytics and marketing, and believes in power of insight to drive the business forward. S/he possesses the following traits:
Innate curiosity about consumer behavior and ability to derive insights from complex data sets to recommend improvements to business
Comfortable presenting complex information in an easy to understand digestible manner
Good understanding of test design: from simple A/B tests to multivariate options
Ability to tell a story from the data, speaking before large audiences with various levels of understanding in the analytics area
Ability to prioritize multiple competing requests
Ability to lead through influence and develop strong alliances
Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast paced start-up atmosphere
? 3+ years experience in the area of quantitative analysis with a proven track record of leveraging data analysis to drive business impact ? Experience in presenting results of the analysis to wide audiences and crafting analytical solutions to help move the business forward
? High level of proficiency with SAS. Familiarity with R is a plus. ? Strong knowledge of SQL and Excel (Cognos a plus)
? Able to work cross functionally with both highly technical and analytic resources and those that have limited statistical and math training
? College degree in a quantitative discipline, graduate degree is a plus
