With significant market opportunity and aggressive growth objectives, Avalaras Marketing Managers plan and execute marketing programs to achieve lead generation goals, build the sales pipeline to directly correlate with company revenue objectives.
Plan, execute and evaluate outbound marketing programs and trade shows, including email campaigns, webinars, advertising and other programs focused on lead generation and building the sales pipeline.
Work closely with sales teams on lead conversion, nurture strategies and driving pipeline activity.
Write email copy and write, edit, update and publish content to the Avalara.com website, newsletters, and other outlets as needed.
Engage Avalara partners to develop and deploy through-partner marketing campaigns. Build relationship with industry publications, influencers and reseller partners. Tasks may include creating marketing offers, submitting award nominations, submitting speaking proposals and managing a media calendar.
Deliver timely marketing and event plans that include success metrics and reports for defined marketing initiatives.
Develop tactics and content that support a defined marketing program and/or campaign.
Build extensive knowledge in defined product/solution areas and develop expertise with industry, product, partners and competitors.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelors degree. Degree in business, marketing or communications preferred.
Minimum of 8+ years marketing experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent grasp of B2B marketing, product marketing, and B2B selling concepts and the sales pipeline.
Strong writing ability.
Understanding of Experience with CRM automation tools (e.g. SalesForce) and marketing automation platforms (e.g. Eloqua) preferred.
Expertise in MS Office, and the ability to develop presentations, analyze data, and use Excel.
Ability to work well independently and productively collaborate within a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and complete tasks, timelines and goals.
