This position will report to the General Manager and oversees all local marketing activities for Zipcar in the region, including the supervision and execution of regional partnerships, events, and Street Team marketing.

Collaborates with home office and General Manager on overall marketing strategy and overall progress.
Oversees day-to-day activities, scheduling and execution of the marketing team, including Marketing Coordinators and Brand Ambassadors.. Prepares and manages annual budget with General Manager in accordance with media plan to achieve marketing goals.
Leads the local market team in reaching the member acquisition goals.
Interface with University partners to integrate Zipcar with campus, operations and community.
Orchestrates sponsorships, partnerships, events, promotions and advertising to increase visibility of Zipcar in the community.Actively recruits, hires and motivates marketing team and monitors results.
Location specific growth planning and execution and identifies overall growth opportunities.
Performs detailed planning, execution and reporting of marketing initiatives, maximizing ROI.
Oversees and manages local social media.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:
3 years prior marketing management experience, 5 years marketing experience
Budget preparation and variance analysis
Prior experience creating, executing and tracking a marketing plan
Local market knowledge a must
Social media experience
Four year college degree in marketing or a related field
Prior management experience
Event marketing experience, preferred
Strong computer skills, MS Office proficiency, with emphasis on Excel
Has a flexible schedule (IE. weekends, night events and networking)
Ability to meet Zipcar?s membership requirements
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in an office environment with some physical demands, such as bike riding, standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., and normal exposure to everyday risks and discomfort requiring common safety precautions. Work will also be performed at street marketing events. Travel to and work at these events ordinarily does not increase physical demands, but does increase exposure to risks and inclement weather with associa,ed discomfort. Extra care must be exercised under these circumstances.
