Marketing Manager (Lead) Xamarin
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED
Xamarin is looking for an inbound marketing expert to lead our marketing efforts. This is a chance to define and execute the marketing vision for a fast-growing, 30 person startup that's already in the black after 6 months. Make your mark, and take us to the next level.
What is inbound marketing? It's the type of marketing you do when you have hundreds of people coming to your website every day (like we do), and you want to convert them into paying customers with a high lifetime value. This person is part quant, part communications pro. They obsess over numbers, funnels, conversion rates, return visitor rates, and producing great content to bring people to the site and get them to try our products. Anyone who has read Inbound Marketing by the HubSpot guys knows what we're talking about. So this is about two things: obsessing about numbers, and generating authentic content to our developer community.
Our marketing is not purely inbound, though; we also have some need for outbound marketing. This means: handling events, online advertising, working with analysts, working with our PR team, running developer contests, etc.
About you:
You're smart and you get stuff done.
Your answer to everything is: let's test it.
You?re a data-driven person who loves analyzing conversion rates and playing with google analytics.
When confronted with a problem, you don?t just reach for the usual tools; sometimes, you create new tools.
You have experience with adwords, adsense, and advertising management.
You have experience building, testing, and iterating landing pages and online marketing materials.
You understand mobile software developers and know how to reach them.
You know how to leverage a community of existing developers to grow a software platform.
You know what it means to own a project and fully commit to its success.
What you'll do:
There are 6 million .NET developers, and millions more mobile developers. Many of them would try our software if they knew we existed. Most of them don?t know we exist. Your job is to fix this.
Monitor and optimize our customer funnel, building out our inbound sales engine.
Design campaigns that convert users to customers, and convince customers to convert colleagues.
Perfect company and product positioning and messaging.
Manage a redesign and rewrite of our website and all online marketing content, with a focus on product pages that convert, and positioning that works.
Run developer contests.
Manage marketing events
Drive our relationship with our PR team.
Nurture our community of thousands of developers with outreach, support, "hero-making" case studies, contests, and other initiatives.
.NET experience is a plus
Competitive salary, solid equity.
About Us
Our mission is to build the best developer tool in the world, in the world's largest software market. For most people on the planet, their first and primary experience with software will be on a mobile device.
We sell a mobile platform that makes building great apps much easier. We're 4 months old. We're more than 30 people. We have thousands of paying customers and we're already profitable. We're pre-VC. We don?t have sales or marketing yet.
In a recent customer survey, 90% of paying customers said they would be "very disappointed" if they could no longer use our product.
We're data-driven. We love trying things, measuring them, and then adjusting.
We love building amazing products that make software developers light up with joy.
