The Marketing Manager at Everyday Health Media, LLC in New York, New York will be responsible for ensuring the optimization and continued successful delivery of the organization?s newsletter and email business, representing over $10 million in annual revenue, and 250 million monthly sends. This position is chiefly tasked with managing new and existing newsletter assets, growing our subscriber base through funnel optimization, and ensuring successful email inbox delivery. Responsibilities include: manage the optimization of marketing funnels to maximize registration success, newsletter subscription rate, and other KPIs; manage the process of launching new newsletters (both internal and partner); maximize financial return from the email database by establishing business policies for address usage, opt-in, and third party certification; maintain, support, and strengthen the organization?s relationships with leading ISPs to ensure preservation of white list status; detect and identify delivery issues as they arrive, and work to resolve any issues with internal process or ISPs, as needed; serve as the in-house subject matter expert on best practices for email delivery developing and implementing applicable procedures and policies to ensure standards are maintained; manage client relationships acting as the business development owner and primary liaison to maintain and grow newsletter programs; identify and design strategic reporting tools and work with Business Intelligence department to have reports created; identify areas for newsletter business growth and manage development projects from conceptualization to successful launch managing resources as needed across departments; write product specifications, creating wireframes, and work flow documents and working with developers, net ops and QA on implementation; and arrange for freelance workers as needed and train them to work with proprietary NL related tools (Watercast, NL CMS, etc).
A Bachelor's degree with a concentration in marketing or a directly related field, plus two years of experience as a market research analyst in a media company. The two years of experience must include experience with the following: (1) managing inbox delivery at volumes of 7+ million emails per day; (2) working in the digital media and ad tech; (3) utilizing core delivery metrics to perform in-depth analyses and then implementing changes to improve campaign performance; (4) writing product specification documents, creating wireframes and workflow documents; (5) Product development experience; (6) conducting market analysis and determining area?s for growth; (7) interfacing with developers in a .NET environment; (8) experience with sprint planning in an agile environment; (9) experience with bug tracking/planning tool such as JIRA, Rally, Mantis, etc; (10) experience with advanced Excel; and (11) experience working with email development and reporting tools.
