Marketing Manager, NAFTA AgraQuest

AgraQuest, Inc. is currently seeking a NAFTA Marketing Manager who will be responsible for
product management activities in the companys North American markets. The incumbent will
play a central role in coordinating the work of multifunctional crop teams to drive marketing
activities for key brands in the region including: product positioning, pricing, distribution and
packaging, programming and market communications. The position requires a solid
understanding of relevant crop production practices, strong understanding of pricing and
positioning strategies, and the ability to motivate and orchestrate input from the many
different players necessary to drive sales and profit increases in the region.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Designs and implements product strategies including positioning, packaging, pricing and
support programs to drive sales and/or profit increases.
Supports US and Canadian sales team efforts for key brands.
Supports distribution partners selling efforts through technical positioning, programs and
training.
Develop and implement market research projects to support new strategies.
Oversees customer support (call center) for inmarket products, particularly resolving
customer issues received via phone or web.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) from a fouryear college or university or Masters degree
(M.A./M.S.) in agriculture or business.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of three years related Ag industry experience and/or training with a Bachelors
degree
A minimum of one year related Ag industry experience and/or training with a Masters
degree
KNOWLEDGE:
Basic mathematic principles, including margins, markups, accruals
Understanding of fungicide and/or insecticide sales and uses in production agriculture in
NAFTA
Understanding of and relationships in the AgChem distribution channels
Microsoft suite of programs including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe
Experience with North American agriculture (including distribution, crop cycles, common
diseases and pesticide usage) a plus
