Marketing Manager SmartDrive Systems

Primary Objective of Position:As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of demand (lead) generation for SmartDrive, including events planning, direct mail, online marketing, channel marketing, lead management and reporting. You will work closely with Product Marketing, Sales and other key areas of the business to create a concise plan as it relates to corporate and sales objectives.
The work environment is highly dynamic, fast paced and collaborative. A willingness to jump in and do what it takes to win is a must.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Define program strategy and develop a marketing plan with the right mix of brand awareness and demand generation marketing activities.
Define a lead process working with sales; track and manage lead progress
Identify and understand the various vertical markets within the fuel management and driver safety related markets
Work closely with media relations vendors to develop thought leadership plan and build brand awareness for SmartDrive
Ability to develop, write and edit marketing content, including press releases, campaign concepts, emails, newsletters, and advertisements
Ability to create and manage a marketing budget
Minimum Job Qualifications:
5+ years of software marketing experience with at least 2 years? experience in a field facing role
2+ years of experience working with telematics or related industry preferred
Bachelor?s in business or marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on experience working with marketing automation and email management tools, such as ExactTarget
Experience with Google Analytics, Omniture, Webtrends preferred
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Other Skills:
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Must have a ?hands-on? approach.
Can work with limited supervision.
Ability to work in a fast moving environment and meet deadlines
Ability to travel 25% of the time
Ability to work after normal business hours as required
Knowledge of the Driver Risk Management industry is a plus
Must be service oriented
