Marketing Programs Manager Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, the Marketing Programs Manager will develop, execute and measure marketing campaigns and programs for our Inside Sales team based in Chicago. The Marketing Programs Manager will act as a liaison between the Inside Sales group and Marketing responsible for executing and measuring marketing campaigns designed to bring in new qualified marketing leads. The qualified candidate has demonstrated success in a marketing role for a software company with program, campaign and demand generation responsibilities that reach new customers, and expand customer retention and revenue growth within the existing customer base.
Collaborate and align with inside sales teams and marketing on program and campaign execution, agree on lead scoring and Marketing Qualified Lead handoff criteria
Develop and execute online and offline marketing programs with the purpose of generating new marketing qualified leads and nurturing leads
Create marketing campaign content, spanning direct mail, email, webinars, social media and events, tradeshows for both lead acquisition and lead nurturing campaigns
Help to grow our prospect database and deepen our relationship with current database members through a broad range of online and other communications
Work with all areas of marketing department in coordinating, collaboration, recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion
Understand RSi solution strengths, functionality and the competition in sufficient depth to devise and execute differentiated demand generation programs
Work with Inside Sales and marketing to plan and determine the effectiveness of various demand generation activities
Align with CRM and Marketo marketing automation specialists to streamline and improve processes and reporting capabilities
Present campaign overviews to sales teams prior to kickoff to ensure that they are briefed and have the right tools to follow up as required.
Work with the marketing team to ensure that marketing programs are accurately reflected on our Web site and that all required lead acquisition components / calls to action are fully in place.
Provide campaign reporting and analytics using Marketo and other available data sources / reporting tools to track campaign performance against plan, response rates, offer conversations, pipeline targets and ROI.
Craft lead nurturing programs and email templates for trigger-based and drip communications that advance prospects through the buying cycle.
Write compelling copy for email campaigns, promotions and landing pages when necessary.
Collaborate with Inside Sales on call scripts, campaigns and talking points
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of B2B marketing program / campaign execution and lead generation experience with a software company
Demonstrated success directly managing lead generation and lead nurturing programs
Clear understanding of ROI analysis and proven analytical ability to track multiple campaigns, analyze results, and recommend changes
Digital marketing experience, with an emphasis on email marketing
Proficient with Salesforce and Marketo
Strong copy writing and editing skills a plus.
Experience in coordinating or managing Webinars
Experience working on joint marketing programs with channel partners.
Creative with a solutions-oriented focus.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members, customers, sales, etc.
High self-motivation with a sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills.
