Marketing Web Developer AppFolio

The Marketing Web Developer works closely with the Marketing team to translate designs into cross-browser, standards compliant code which will be used across marketing campaigns.
This position is responsible for providing programming support for AppFolio's marketing websites, blogs, landing pages and emails as well as assisting in the customization and day-to-day operation of the team's Marketing automation software.
This role reports to the Manager of Creative Services.
The ideal candidate has an uncompromising attention to detail, embraces new technologies, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and loves to solve problems.
Responsibilities:
Create production-quality online assets from PSD using standards compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Maintain multiple instances of Content Management System
Assist in testing and optimization of landing pages and emails
Optimize marketing assets for Search
Assist with campaign tracking, reporting and analytics tools across multiple web properties
Ensure QA process is adhered to for all assigned projects
Keep up to date on marketing and web technologies
Be sensitive to the principles of layout, typography and color
Complete a high volume of work quickly while maintaining quality
Organize work priorities and set project time line expectations effectively
Be willing to work both independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Have confidence when presenting concepts; must be comfortable interacting with upper management
Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum 3 years of web development experience
Expert in CSS, HTML, JavaScript
Advanced knowledge of web browser and email client capabilities and limitations
Experience using Photoshop or Fireworks in a web development production environment
Familiarity with PHP, Ruby on Rails, Flash
A strong understanding of API integration
Understanding of online marketing, search engine marketing and B2B social media
Knowledge of and willingness to learn relevant areas of AppFolio technology and work flows
Understanding of user experience best practices as it relates to lead acquisition, navigational structures, site architecture, etc.
Experience with Marketo (or similar marketing automation software) a plus
