JOB POSITION: Master Cloud Architect

JOB LOCATION: Open to Location â€" Can be Remote if open to Travel

JOB SUMMARY: The Master Cloud Architecture team will be responsible for developing cloud blueprints across the company. Experience working with software application companies with a cloud focus is required. Expertise in designing and building cloud apps that run on Amazon or VMWare's cloud infrastructures required. Candidate must understand the nuances of multi-tenant apps as well as enabling existing apps to run in single-tenant mode in the cloud.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The Master Software Architect is responsible for providing the architectural vision and technology leadership for his/her product area. The Software Architect builds models of the problem and solutions, explores alternative approaches, prepares documents and explains the architecture to interested parties. The Software Architect works within the organization to promote the product architecture and ensures consistent product architecture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experiences/education

Required Skills:

• 10 years of professional experience in the following: (a) applicable programming languages, (b) configuration management, (c) release engineering, (d) software engineering processes, (e) source code management.
  
• A visionary who can translate well between the business and technical domains.
  
• Application-level experience in a multi-tier, distributed computing, business enterprise product.
  
• Thorough knowledge of Lawson's product domain, relevant technologies and development processes is required.
  
• Demonstrated success in leading the architecture design of large-scale enterprise software where innovative thinking is required.
  
• Demonstrated success in architecting large-scale software products, from concept through delivery.
  
• A proven record of delivering projects on time with the ability to work well with product. Managers, business analysts, developers and quality assurance testers.
  
• Exemplary general IT knowledge (Cloud, applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of current development methodologies and practices.
  
• Experience in estimating and measuring project schedules.
  
• Experience with coordination of geographically disparate development teams and the tools needed to support this activity.
  
• Exemplary engineering professionalism.
  
• Knowledge of and experience with software engineering processes and practices.
  
• Post graduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  
• Active membership in relevant professional associations
