THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Master Scheduler develops a schedule for optimizing Company performance. He or she interprets material and manufacturing plans and Sales/usage history and forecasts to create, organize, adjust and control the ERP/MRP master schedule and monthly operations plans, including weekly allotment on daily job releases and adjustments. The Master Scheduler identifies, leads and, where appropriate, executes materials organization, scheduling manufacturing and supply chain-related continuous improvement activities.
Duties?Establish production schedules for all manufacturing departments involving the production of customer orders, sub-assemblies, stock orders, work-in-process and inter- company transfer orders.
?Accurately forecast production needs based on sales forecasts for long-term planning purposes. Work with sales and accounting to continuously improve forecasting.
?Monitor daily inventories, track progress of production and review factors that affect schedules.
?Make necessary modifications to schedule to achieve on-time delivery goals.
?Participate as a key team member to consistently achieve improvements to on-time delivery performance.
?Uses ERP system to review sales orders, MRP schedules, dispatch reports, and capacity requirements.
?Communicate and work with Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Finance to meet business goals.
?Execute daily release of all work orders to the proper work center on a timely basis.
?Perform inventory analysis to continuously improve Company targets and financial performance.
?Continuously improve Master Schedule programs to incorporate best practices and adjust accordingly to the changing marketplace.
?Prepare production reports by compiling production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information.
QualificationsMinimum education and experience: Bachelor?s degree and five years experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform at this level. APICS certification and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
?Highly proficient in data analysis, including report writing, Word, Excel and Power Point.
?Proven track record of successful planning, scheduling and overall management and control of the planning/scheduling function including MRP programs.
?Ability to work in a team environment and share schedule issues clearly with all levels of management.
?Ability to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement effective alternatives. .
?Experience with Advanced Planning & Optimization
?Effective oral and written communication skills required. Appropriate business demeanor under high pressure and often short deadlines.
