Job Summary: A master scheduler is responsible for ensuring that all time lines related to the supply chain (i.e., all departments and processes involved in the manufacturing of goods such as procurement, sourcing and production) are adhered to and proceed in an efficient manner.Essential Functions:
Maintains daily schedule closely working with Line Managers & Shop Supervisor.
Makes sure everything is ?up to date? and reported to COO on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Helps Manufacturing Engineer providing up-to-date information on scheduling issues which will be compiled and routed by ME to required bodies to resolve the issue.
Knows and makes sure:
What jobs are on queue to be released this week
What jobs are due this week to be shipped
What is due at paint this week
Availability of enough raw material on our racks before a job hits floor
Long lead items list is ordered before job is completely released
Where particular job is
Priority list is frequently updated / white-boards & wall pockets
Makes sure that each job is lined up ?all? the time for ?all? stations
Makes sure all white boards are updated every time a job is finished or started.
Works closely with Shop Supervisor to line up the jobs for all operations.
Additional Job Qualifications:
Four year college degree preferred.
5 plus years experience as a scheduler/planner in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project a must.
Knowledge of Solid Works and Visual systems preferred.
