Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives, verifies, and distributes incoming materials and/or product checking trace and stock numbers, condition, and quality per applicable guidelines, and stocks in correct warehouse location for later distribution.
Pulls, verifies, and ships product per customer orders and other applicable documents.
Assists in regular and special inventories, audits, and counts.
Locates and pulls materials and/or product per work orders, sales orders, and/or stock requisitions and customer orders.
Participates in accurate and timely documentation of all receipts, shipments and transactions.
Investigates and resolves problems regarding orders and deliveries.
Operates computer for data entry and retrieval.
Traces orders and obtains proof of delivery.
Tracks and locates materials and assists in the maintenance of the locator system.
Recognizes problem areas and brings them to the attention of the supervisor.
Interfaces with other departments regarding the flow of materials and in resolving problems.
Participates in team decision making, and develops team problem solving and communication skills.
Demonstrates safe and efficient usage of hand and power jacks, ladders, carts, forklift, electronic scales, truck and other equipment in loading and unloading shipments and distributing materials or product.
Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.
Follows all safety procedures by SOP local instruction and by supervision
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO requirements.
Training Certification (GMP)
Compliance Wire (ISO)
Effectively meets quality, quantity and process flow requirements.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding, while performing inspection, sub- and final assemblies including traceability, process inspection, batch verification, drawings, bills of materials and Change Orders.
Documents inspections on applicable forms with minimal documentation errors.
Participates in team decision making, and develops team problem solving and communication skills.
Sets up work stations, tools, equipment and needed documents with assistance.
Performs technical soldering on assemblies as applicable.
Meets attendance and punctuality requirements.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
Trains for higher level jobs as necessary.
Assists in special projects and assignments.
Works independently, as required.
Ensures production area is supplied with materials for daily production, maintains adequate levels of necessary parts and supplies to production areas at all times.
Production line knowledge to assist in prevention of defects and production flow.
Follows all safety procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of relevant record keeping and traceability for assigned work area.
Demonstrates skill in the operation and care of all hand, power tools, production equipment/machinery and inspection equipment as applicable.
Participates in team decision-making.
Communicates with Supervisor/Production Team Leader concerning equipment/machinery and materials issues.
Ensures that production area is clean, neat, and orderly.
Inspects tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and used in a safe manner, takes immediate corrective action if necessary.
Conducts daily safety inspections, reports hazards, ensures that employees wear and use proper safety equipment.
Supports lean initiatives in respective work area by working to sustain lean benefits after a lean event.
Clear understanding of 5S, line balancing, communication boards and standard work.
Strong Computer Skills
EDUCATION:
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE (please note required or Preferred):
Experience Requirements:
At least 12 months of related experience preferred.
Has a working of more than 3 areas in the warehouse.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Usual warehousing environment with frequent- walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing,
stooping and occasional- climbing up and down ladders.
Frequent- use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of forklift machinery.
Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through
automated devices such as the telephone and computer.
Medium physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally- and/or up to 10 pounds
frequently.
-Occasional: Activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.
-Frequent: Activity exists between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
