DescriptionMedical Simulation Corporation (MSC) is a recognized leader in providing full-service simulation-based training services to hospital personnel, medical product manufacturers, and medical societies. As an organization, we develop, sell and deliver simulation-based training and consulting services to the medical device and healthcare provider market.
The Materials Manager is responsible for the inventory levels, production schedules, inventory staff management, and inventory cost controls. It includes extensive interface with operations, engineering, accounting and the sales departments. The ability to successfully interface across the organization is a requirement. The position must be able to demonstrate the ability to move forward the inventory related functions to allow successful growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
Develop the schedule of production to balance demand with capacity and ensure on-time customer delivery
Execute the material requirements based on production schedule requirements
Adjust production schedules as needed based on part availability and customer demands
Ensure accurate inventory record integrity
Expedite any needed manufactured or purchase parts
Develop and manage inventory related policies, tools and processes that utilize Lean principles
Manage the individuals in the department
Required Qualifications:
APICS Certification or the ability to obtain in a reasonable time frame
Multiple years of working experience with Solomon / Dynamics SL system
Experience in material management, production control, supply chain management, business administration/management, or logistics
Experience in assembly/manufacturing background a plus
Supervisory skills
Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of Lean principles
BS/BA degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience
