Materials Planner Lifecore Biomedical Inc.

In this position, you will execute the manufacturing schedule from incoming raw material prioritization to final shipment coordination to meet promised customer ship dates, plan according to schedule to meet financial plans and customer requirements, initiate and/or participate in projects to resolve issues, improve processes, and introduce new products, and plan/monitor inventory.

You will ensure schedule and forecast tie monthly to meet plan and customer requirements; release work orders to meet manufacturing schedule; coordinate powder and aseptic shipments from client notification of shipment, to carrier scheduling and completion of required shipping documentation, to assure on time shipment to the client; report monthly inventory levels; coordinate outside processing to support customer deliveries; interface with product development to support new product introduction into manufacturing; coordinate picking and shipping of materials with Warehouse and Shipping; review and coordinate disposal of obsolete and expired materials; follow up with Warehouse to assure execution and results of cycle count program; coordinate annual physical inventory of powder and raw materials with warehouse personnel; review manufacturing order closure in Fourth Shift to assure accurate transactions and inventory and timely closure of orders; provide back up support for all scheduling functions, including the communication of all priorities and issues; assist Warehouse and Shipping in resolving inventory and/or shipping discrepancies.

Requirements: 4 year college degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience with APICS certification/training preferred. 2-5 years production scheduling experience with a medical manufacturer or similar lot trace environment. Two+ years MRP experience (Fourth Shift preferred). One year with GMP compliant and ISO certified company. Experience coordinating shipments to domestic and international customers. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.


Hours: Monday - Friday, 5 day work week
