Gemvara is revolutionizing e-commerce, and the Product Manager will play a significant role in our success. The site should be a place where consumers have fun browsing and customizing jewelry, share customized pieces with their friends and family, and ultimately decide to purchase the perfect piece.
As the Product Manager, reporting to the Director of Me-Commerce, you will champion and drive planning and execution for the online customer experience. You will ensure that our solutions support the product vision, are aligned with strategic goals, will have the biggest impact on our customers and company, strike a balance between invention and convention, and are able to be executed successfully and timely.
What you'll do:
? Support the definition of the product vision and roadmap with the Director.
? Identify and cultivate customer insights, both qualitative and quantitative, with the UX team to help feed the product strategy.
? Work with groups across the organization to gather, define, and prioritize product requirements that integrate product strategy, the brand?s unique value proposition, and customer insights. Initiate and analyze site data and test results to improve site performance and drive prioritization of initiatives.
? Take lead on segments of the site experience as product owner, cultivating a backlog with stakeholders, user experience, and development to define, prioritize, and communicate requirements.
? Utilize your strong communication skills to convey technical concepts and customer benefits cross-functionally to ensure successful product launches.
? Communicate results, progress, and decisions throughout the organization.
? Work closely with the Director of Me-Commerce, engineering, user experience, marketing, analytics, operations and customer care.
Skills you'll need to be successful:
Proven track record in
? Identifying and defining market needs and solutions, whether in a Marketing, Technology or Product role.
? Having a customer focus and sensitivities to how people think and feel.
? Building sites and mobile apps that are attractive to consumers and drive engagement and loyalty.
? Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with many moving parts.
? Acting as a business ?owner,? not an employee.
? Thinking beyond conventional e-commerce strategies.
? Successfully launching new brands and/or products to maximize current customer conversion while acquiring new customers.
Personal characteristics must include:
? 2-5 years experience in a product role or similar.
? Must be a do-er, who can create, execute and complete projects.
